Robert Lindsay, currently appearing as Nicolas Fouquet in Power in the Cottesloe.



Theatre credits include the title role in Richard III for the RSC, Fagin in Oliver! at the Palladium and for which he won an Olivier Award, the title role in Cyrano de Bergerac at the Theatre Royal Haymarket and for which he received an Olivier nomination, Henry II in Becket at the Haymarket, for which he won a Variety Club Award for Best Theatre Actor and was nominated for an Olivier Award for Best Actor, Me and My Girl at the Adelphi Theatre, for which he won a Laurence Olivier Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Musical and a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical, Philoctetes, The Beaux Stratagem and the title role in Hamlet at the Royal Exchange, Manchester, which toured the country to critical acclaim, Trelawny of the Wells at the Old Vic, Lower Depths and The Cherry Orchard at The Royalty, The Changeling at Riverside Studios and The Three Musketeers and Leaping Ginger at the Royal Exchange, Manchester. TV credits include My Family, Don't Eat the Neighbours, Hawk, Oliver Twist, Hornblower, Brazen Hussies, The Office, Goodbye My Love, Jake's Progress, The Wimbledon Poisoner, Genghis Cohn, GBH (for which he won a BAFTA and RTS Award for Best Actor), Nightingales, Confessional, Give Us A Break, King Lear (with Laurence Olivier), Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing, Cymbeline, A Midsummer Night's Dream, All's well That Ends Well, Twelfth Night, Seconds Out, Citizen Smith, Get Some In and Letter From A Soldier. Film credits include Divorcing Jack, Remember Me, Fierce Creatures, Loser Takes All and Bertrigby.
