Filming and Photo Shoots
The Deck, an ultra-modern structure, has been designed by A-EM to make the most of the fabulous vantage point it enjoys; it has a unique inside-outside feel, created by the use of translucent materials that let through the natural daylight. The glazed walls are also retractable, meaning that in warm weather the whole room can be opened out to the decked terrace. This is a brilliant location in which to shoot film or photographs.
Situated at the top of the National Theatre, The Deck's views across the Thames extend from Charing Cross to the City incorporating famous landmarks including Waterloo Bridge, Embankment, Somerset House, St. Paul's Cathedral, the ‘Gherkin' and the OXO tower.
The Deck allows great daylight in to its large indoor space (main area is 10m x 10m by 4.5m) and there is room for a styling area (we can provide rails, screens, tables and chairs).
Please note that The Deck is not sound proof.
In addition to The Deck, the National Theatre has many interesting features, terraces and rooms which also provide great locations for filming and photoshoots.
