Rank opens at the Tricycle Theatre

5 November 2008

Robert Massey's new comedy thriller Rank is to transfer to the Tricycle Theatre from the Ulster Bank Dublin Theatre Festival for its UK premiere.

The play opens tonight (November 5th) following previews from November 3rd and will run at the venue until November 29th.

Directed by the Fishamble theatre company's artistic director Jim Culleton, the cast includes Luke Griffin, Eamonn Hunt, Alan King, John Lynn and Bryan Murray.

Set in the northern suburbs of Dublin, the play tells the story of two taxi drivers whose lives will change forever if they make the wrong choice.

Culleton directed Sebastian Barry's play, The Pride Of Parnell Street when it ran at the Tricycle theatre during 2007.

Fishamble, the Irish company responsible for the production, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

Bryan Murray has featured as Trevor Jordache in Brookside, Harry Cassidy in Perfect Scoundrels and Shifty Boswell in Bread.

Previous stage roles have been with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre.
