Well to transfer to the Apollo Theatre

4 November 2008

Lisa Kron's autobiographical play Well is to be revived in the West End at the Apollo Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue in the New Year.

The play will be transferred from the Studio 2 space at Trafalgar Studios to begin a run of 32 performances previewing on December 29th and running until January 24th 2009.

Sarah Miles and Natalie Casey will reprise the roles of mother Anne and daughter Lisa and be joined by Oliver Chris, best known for his performances in television series The Office and Green Wing.

It is directed by Eve Leigh, whose debut production The Dybuuk was at the King's Head in January and designed by Helen Goddard, who has previously worked on Let There Be Love at the Tricycle Theatre.

Miles was nominated for an Oscar for her performance in Ryan's Daughter and appeared in Joseph Losey's The Servant and Michelangelo Antonioni's Blowup.

The revival of Well at the Apollo Theatre will replace the stage adaptation of the Oscar-nominated film Rain Man, which runs until December 20th.
