Three Days of Rain revival to take place at the Apollo

24 October 2008

A revival of Richard Greenberg's Three Days of Rain is to appear at the Apollo Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue.

The production will feature James McAvoy, who is best known for his appearances in films such as Wanted and Atonement, alongside ex-Eastenders actor Nigel Harman and an as yet unnamed actress.

Directed by Jamie Lloyd the play will run from January 30th to May 2nd and tells the story of Walker Janeaway and his sister Nan who reunite to attend their architect father's funeral.

Together with Pip, the son of their father's business partner Theo, they try to work out the secrets of their parents' past.

James McAvoy was last seen treading the boards in Breathing Corpses at the Royal Court in 2005.

Harman featured in The Common Pursuit at the Menier Chocolate Factory earlier this year and previously in Harold Pinter's The Caretaker at the Tricycle.

Three Days of Rain premiered in the UK at the Donmar Warehouse in 1999.

Colin Firth, David Morrissey and Elizabeth McGovern featured in the original production.
