Perfect Pitch selects six submissions

Perfect Pitch, a network for supporting musicals, has revealed its six choices for its showcase of new talent.

Chosen from over 100 entries, the productions will be shown at Trafalgar Studios 2 and run from November 25th - 29th with extracts from each one performed three times.

Among the musicals to be shown at the run in the West End are Can You Keep A Secret? by Matthew Brind and Lesley Ross and The Lost Christmas by Laurence Mark Wythe.

Rebels and Retail by Cush Jumbo and James McConville, Lift by Craig Adams and Ian Watson and Through the Door by Laurence Mark Wythe and Judy Freed will also be shown.

Producer of the event Andy Barnes told Whatsonstage.com, which supports the showcase,: "We received well over 100 submissions this year, and the standard of writing was the highest it has been."

He added that it was difficult to narrow the shortlist down to six but the judging panel have tried to choose the shows which have commercial appeal.

Perfect Pitch has been running for the past two years and was previously held at Upstairs At The Gatehouse in Highgate.
