Conferences & Special Events

"The event was a dazzling success, with the National Theatre people playing an instrumental role in that success. The participants had nothing but praise for what they had learnt - some of them were using the techniques the very next day!" Event Manager, BP

There are many ways that Theatreworks can enhance a conference, away-day or other special event, from running a short, discrete session, to working with you to structure, design and deliver the content for the whole day. The Theatreworks approach is participative, seeking always to provide an experience with which everyone in the room can engage.

Short Sessions
The following sessions can be adapted to run from 1 hour to 3 hours and for groups varying in size from 6 to 60!

Communicating with Creativity
An exploration of the elements of a good story… and good storytelling! How to use anecdote, real-life experiences and images to touch and engage an audience.

Getting your Message Across
This workshop explores key elements of how to make a lasting impression when communicating to an audience.

Understanding Status
Gain an understanding of the effects of status and what happens when our confidence and status are at odds with each other. How does this affect our behaviour and the way that others see us?

Non-Verbal Communication
You get roughly three minutes to make a first impression… through observing themselves and others, participants will increase their awareness of the signals we all give out.

Improving your Voice
This workshop uses drama and singing techniques to give participants’ voices a workout, allowing them to realise their full vocal potential.

Rehearsing for Success
Rehearsal is an extremely powerful way to create change and improve performance. It involves a unique combination of experiment, repetition, training and feedback. This workshop touches on the key components of the rehearsal process, and helps develop the skills of mentor and coach.
