Theatreworks Partnerships

Case Study

Theatreworks Partnerships is undertaking its initial project in conjunction with ELBA, the East London Business Alliance. (link to ELBA's website). Specialist trainers from the National Theatre will work with 10 graduates living in Tower Hamlets who have been selected to participate on ELBA's Community Affairs Trainee Scheme (CATS).

The CATS scheme is a year-long programme, with the trainees receiving two months training at ELBA before being placed within the Corporate Affairs departments of City and Canary Wharf-based companies.

Theatreworks Partnerships is working with these trainees on an on-going basis to enhance their communication skills during their transition into the world of work. The programme is designed to improve the trainees' ability to contribute to meetings; enhance their networking and interview skills; as well as touching on effective presentation and public speaking.
