What our customers say

'The National Theatre Costume Hire department is one of my favourite places on earth. It is a privilege to wander up and down its rails, noting which finery was sported by which actors.

Its staff are at once knowledgeable and incredibly charming, perfectionists who relish their task and will not stop until a costume is head-to-toe spot on. They have dressed me and legions of my allies for countless parties and I would not – could not - go anywhere else. I have been a Titian bacchante, a Hogarthian hooker and a 1690s strumpet. However, they do offer non-moll ensembles.

The National even boasts a body odour-removing apparatus so that one doesn’t decimate the dance floor. However, knowing that the nations’s finest have toiled under the lights in one’s togs is all part of the thrill. The service is also a bona fide bobby bargain. I cannot recommend The National too highly. '
