DSMs in rehearsal

About

During rehearsals, the Deputy Stage Manager is responsible for running the rehearsal room. This includes making sure that actors turn up on time and that the room is set up appropriately. During rehearsals themselves, one of the roles of the DSM is to keep an eye on the script to make sure actors are saying their lines correctly, and to prompt them where necessary.
