Kirin Ichiban Beer presents BAFTA short films on the fly tower

Kirin Ichiban, official beer of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, supports a series of BAFTA-nominated and awardwinning short films and animations projected onto the National Theatre fly-tower.

Inspired Sound
Movies and music are the inspiration behind this collection of BAFTA winners and nominees. Programme includes:

J’taime John Wayne (Dir. Toby MacDonald, BAFTA 2001, 13 mins). A stylish and funny take on the French New Wave.

Jojo in the Stars
(dir. Marc Craste, BAFTA 2003, 13 mins). Love on an alien planet in this animation which references classic silent cinema.

Film Noir (Dir. Osbert Parker, BAFTA 2005, 4 mins) + Yours Truly (aka. Head Over Heels) (Dir. Osbert Parker, BAFTA 2008, 8 mins). Stunning animation mashups from commercials director Osbert Parker which use classic film noir images in vivid re-workings with inspired scores.
