Read Entry Pass opinion on Harper Regan
On Monday 9 June Entry Pass member Rosailind Thompson came to review Simon Stephen's new play, Harper Regan starring Lesley Sharp in the title role. Read Rosalind's review below:

Harper Regan is a woman traveling up to Manchester to see her father before he dies, but there is much more to it then that. The play slowly reveals more and more issues which concern her life in dramatic ways. Harper is a wonderful and believable character with a unique personality that is clearly conveyed. The play itself is dark and serious in all the right places, but it also contains the right amount of wit in order to make this play an extremely enjoyable experience.
Lesley Sharp shines through as Harper Regan being on stage throughout the whole play, which would be a challenge for any actor. Sharp manages this with an air of ease and conveys the role of a mother and a wife as though that is all she has ever been. The supporting cast move from strength to strength and despite some being only in one single scene, all are very memorable as the play draws to an end.
Harper Regan is beautifully well written and somehow leads me wanting to know so much more then I already do. With well formed characters and a fascinating plot this is definitely a play worth seeing.
