Martin Crimp and Aleks Sierz

Aleks Sierz speaks to Martin Crimp about his work, his politics and the state of modern British theatre.

Martin Crimp has been writing plays for 25 years, including Dealing with Clair, The Treatment, The Country and Cruel and Tender. Attempts on Her Life (1997) was heralded as one of the greatest plays of the late 20th Century. Crimp's version of The Seagull was recently staged at the National, directed by Katie Mitchell.

The Theatre of Martin Crimp is a major new account of 'one of the most acute satirists of contemporary British society' by the author of In-Yer-Face Theatre, broadcaster, journalist and university lecturer, Aleks Sierz.

This Platform will be accompanied by a booksigning.
