Cafes and Bars

There are a variety of cafés and bars throughout the National Theatre building, which are perfect for daytime coffee and cakes or pre-performance drinks and light meals. 

National Theatre Espresso Bar 

Situated in Theatre Square.
Great coffee and snacks on the go.


Our Espresso Bar sells an innovative range including great coffee, organic teas, freshly made fruit smoothies and wines and beer. Food available includes home made soup, hot and cold baguettes, bagels and paninis and freshly baked cakes.
 

Circle Café

Level 2/3 (Olivier side of the building).
Self service cafe at the heart of the Olivier, offering hot meals, wine and snacks.


With two balcony areas for outside eating, the Circle Cafe is open before performances in the Olivier.

 

Lyttelton Café

Ground floor, opposite the Long Bar.
Hot and cold dishes perfect for pre-theatre eating, with main meals from £6.50.

Fresh coffee, baguettes, bagels and delectable cakes cooked here in our kitchens at the National Theatre.

Bars

Beat the Queues!
There are bars throughout the building. The Long Bar, in the main foyer, is open from 5pm - 11pm Monday to Saturday, and from 12pm - 11pm on days with matinee performances in the Olivier or Lyttelton.

Orders for interval drinks and sandwiches can be placed at the Circle Café, or at any of our bars.

To celebrate summer
From the 20th May the Olivier Bars will be selling jugs of Pimms for £10.

Please note that the National Theatre is fully non-smoking.
