The Travelex £10 Season 2006

For shows in the Travelex £10 Season, two-thirds of the tickets for every performance are £10. These tickets can be booked online (click on the 'Buy Tickets' links below) or by phone on 020 7452 3000 (Mon-Sat 10am-8pm).

The shows in the 2006 Travelex £10 Season are:

The Royal Hunt of the Sun, by Peter Shaffer, directed by Trevor Nunn, with Alun Armstrong as Pizarro and Paterson Joseph as Atahuallpa.
Ran from 30 March to 12 August 2006

Market Boy, a new play by David Eldridge, directed by Rufus Norris. A spectacular, savage, gorgeous yarn which brings a market jungle to the vast Olivier stage.
Ran from 27 May to 24 August 2006

The Life of Galileo by Bertolt Brecht, in a version by David Hare, directed by Howard Davies. Simon Russell Beale returns to the National as Galileo.

TRAVELEX RENEWS SPONSORSHIP OF £10 SEASON FOR THREE MORE YEARS

Travelex, the world's largest foreign exchange specialist, has renewed its sponsorship of the £10 Season for a further three years from 2006. Two thirds of the seats will again be £10 (the rest are £27.50). The partnership between Travelex and the National Theatre began in 2003 and over the past three years has attracted 660,000 people, of whom 155,000 have been first-time attenders at the National.

Lloyd Dorfman, Executive Chairman, Travelex said: "I am delighted to announce the renewal of our sponsorship of the Travelex £10 Season. The scheme has successfully attracted many newcomers to the National by offering world class theatre at an unbelievable price. This initiative is closely aligned to the Travelex business, sharing our brand values of innovation, value and service which is why the decision to extend the partnership for another three years was an easy one to make."
