Amato Saltone

a shunt event

A seriously unusual night out...

A surreal fusion of dark comedy and wild visual performance in the strangest bar in London.

Shunt's latest event is an eccentric view of the city. Expect games of suspense, mistaken identity and an unspeakable interest in what your neighbours are doing.

Amato Saltone is inspired by the work of Cornell Woolrich (1903 - 1968), the 'Father of Film Noir', who, for over 35 years, fed the pulp magazines with countless stories of steamy mystery fiction. Films made of his work include Hitchcock's Rear Window and Truffaut's The Bride Wore Black.

The Shunt collective has been working for the last seven years creating live events in unusual spaces. Amato Saltone follows the hit show Tropicana and is performed in their temporary home under London Bridge Station.

In collaboration with the National Theatre
