A Day in the Life of the NT

In December 2004 the NT Archive ran a photographic project called 'A Day in the Life of the National Theatre'. This was part of an effort to record behind the scenes work at the NT. Departments were issued with cameras to capture a representation of the various functions of their department during a day's work.

The cameras were handed around and staff were encouraged to take snaps of various aspects of their work, their co-workers, offices, favourite/hated parts of the building and anything that caught their eye in the course of a day's work on the South Bank and at the other NT sites.

This is just a small selection of the thousands of photos taken on the day; all the photos are available to view in the NT Archive.
